The school was established on 08 December 2003 at Abu-Hurairah Jumu’at Masjid, New GRA, Bauchi State, Nigeria.The school was first established as Madarasatu Tahfeezil Qur’an Wattarbiyyatil Islamiyyah. It was later renamed Al-huda Academy and eventually became Al-huda International Academy, Bauchi. Four years after its founding, the school moved to the residence of Late Alhaji Tukur Ahmed, and in 2008 it settled at its present location, No. 6 Kirfi Road, New GRA, Bauchi.The inaugural programme was Haddah/Tahfeez. In 2012, the Tarteel Adult Literacy Programme was incorporated, and in 2014 the Raudah classes were established

Al-huda offers a range of structured Qur’anic and literacy programs designed to serve children, youth, and adults at different stages of learning.
- 3-Year Raudah Program – For pupils 4–6 years of age.
- 2-Year Basic Huruf Program – For pupils above 7 years.
- 4-Year Tarteel Program – For students above 7 years.
- Tahfeez Program – For students above 7 years (standard duration as applicable).
- 5-Year Tarteel Adult Literacy Program – For adult learners.
- 2-Year Short-term Tahfeez Program – Available as boarding or day.
- 3-Year Advanced Qur’anic Program – For students seeking higher-level Qur’anic studies.
Tajweed and Qira'at
Tajweed is the science of pronouncing Quranic Arabic correctly 🌟. Qira'at refers to the different readings or recitation styles of the Quran 📖. Together, they're essential for proper Quran recitation
